The concept of covenant is important in receiving your physical healing through the Word of God. God states in the Old Covenant in the book of Exodus, "I am the LORD who heals you" [Exodus 15:26]. King David instructs the believers to bless the LORD and not to forget all of the benefits or spiritual blessings of the LORD. David recognized the benefits provided in his covenant with God. One of the benefits identified is, "who heals all your diseases" [Psalms 103:2-3].
In Exodus 15:26, we see that God calls himself by his covenant name in Hebrew יהוה YHWH and translated LORD in English. These four Hebrew letters יהוה are called the Tetragrammaton, it is transliterated in English as YHWH, YHVH, or JHVH. The four letter Tetragrammaton is transliterated with vowels added as Yahweh, Jehovah, or Yod-Heh-Vav-Heh depending on the system used.
When Christians, unaware of the Jewish tradition, started to read the Hebrew Bible; they read יהוה as written with YHWH's consonants with Adonai's vowels; and thus said or transcribed Jehovah. Today this transcription is generally recognized as a mistake [See Jehovah]. However many religious groups continue to use the form Jehovah, because it is familiar and because the correct pronunciation of יהוה is unknown. Current convention is that יהוה probably should be transcribed as Yahweh. Yahweh is pronounced Yah-Way.
The King James Version [KJV] written in 1611, followed the current convention of that day and transcribed יהוה as Jehovah. In the KJV of the Bible, יהוה is usally translated as LORD with all capital letters. It is only transcribed as Jehovah four times in [Exodus 6:3, Psalms 83:18, Isaiah 12:12, and Isaiah 26:4]. It is also transcribed three times as a combination word as Jehovahjireh [Genesis 22:14], Jehovahnissi [Exodus 17:15], and Jehovahshalom [Judges 6:24]. The lexicons written in the 19th century by Thayer, Strong, or Gesenius followed the same convention to transcribed יהוה as Jehovah.

God said to Moses in Exodus 6:3-4, "I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of שדי El Shaddai [God Almighty], but by my name יהוה YHWH [Jahweh, Jehovah] was I not known to them. And I have also established my covenant with them" [Exodus 6:3-4].

In Exodus 6:1-6 and Exodus 3:1-16, God reveals his covenant name to Moses and the Children of Israel. This Hebrew word יהוה YHWH , is God's covenant name with his people [Exodus 6:3, Exodus 3:14]. In the third chapter of Exodus, Moses discussed with God about what name to call him?

"When I come to the children of Israel and say to them, the God of your fathers has sent me to you. And they shall say to me, What is His Name? What shall I say to them? And God said unto Moses, 'I AM THAT I AM': and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, 'I AM hath sent me unto you' [Exodus 3:13-14 and Thayer's Lexicon, [Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary on Exodus 6:3].

God defines what his covenant name יהוה YHWH or Yahweh means to Moses by using this Hebrew word היה HAYAH. HAYAH is the root word of יהוה YHWH Jahweh. God uses this Hebrew word HAYAH twice in His famous statement, "I AM THAT I AM" [Exodus 3:14]. Thayer's Lexicon defines HAYAH as, "to be, become, come to pass, exist, happen, or fall out". Strong's lexicon defines HAYAH as, "be or become, come to pass". Other bible tranlations of "I AM That I AM", are "I AM WHO I AM", "I Am the One Who Always Is", "I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE", and "I AM THAT WHICH I AM" [See Exodus 3:14].
Thayer's Lexicon defines Jahweh יהוה JHWH as, "the existing One". Strong's Lexicon defines Jahweh יהוה JHWH as, "the self-existing one". When God says "I AM That I AM", He is defining his personality, his self-existence, and his immutability. God doesn't need anyone or anything to exist. He is totally self-reliant.
The Bible is a book about covenant relationship. Covenant is an important concept to understand in the Old and New Testament of the Bible. One of the definitions of the word "testament" is covenant, and is defined as a covenant between God and Humans. So you could call the Old and New Testament the Old and New Covenant, as many people do.
God told Moses that he had been known as El Shaddai, pronounced as el shad-dah'ē, which means almighty or most powerful [Exodus 6:3, Genesis 17:1, Genesis 28:3]. However, God was now going to be known to Moses and the Children of Israel by his Covenant Name of Jahweh יהוה YHWH.

New Covenant

Jesus established the New Covenant the night before his crucifixion. Jesus said to his disciples at the Last Supper, "this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins" [Matthew 26:26-28, Mark 20:22-24, Luke 22:18-20, and 1 Corinthians 11:23-26]. Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises [1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 8:6, Hebrews 7:22].

Jesus at the same time gave thanks, broke the bread and said, "Take, eat, this is my body, which is broken for you" [1 Corinthians 11:24]. "So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him" [John 19:1]. "By whose stripes you were healed" [1 Peter 2:24]. Jesus' body was broken so that your body may be whole. At the scourging post, Jesus' bones were not broken. But "many were amazed when they saw him-beaten and bloodied, so disfigured one would scarcely know he was a person" [John 19:36, Isaiah 52:13-14, Isaiah 52:13].

IF forgiveness of sins, physical healing, deliverance, favor, provisional care, fruitfulness, and long life were spiritual blessings of the Old covenant; how much more are they in the New Covenant which has Jesus Christ the guarantor or surety of this better covenant [Hebrews 7:22, Deuteronomy 8:6, Psalms 103:1-3, Exodus 23:26-27, Exodus 15:26, Deuteronomy 7:15, Psalms 91:6]?
In 2 Corinthians, Paul declares, "for all the promises of God in him are yes, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us [2 Corinthians 1:20]. Paul states again in the book of Galatians, "if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" [Galatians 3:29].
The Apostle Paul writes to the Church in Ephesians and states, "when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved); And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus" [Ephesians 2:5-6]. The believer in Christ Jesus has been made alive with Jesus and his sitting in heavenly place with Jesus [Colossians 3:1, Colossians 2:12-15, Romans 6:1]. In Ephesians chapter 1, Paul praises God by saying, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ [Ephesians 1:3]. The believer has been made alive with Christ, raised up together with Christ, made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, and blessed with every spiritual blessing in Heavenly places. The believer just needs to access "by faith into this grace in which we stand" [Romans 5:2, Ephesians 2:8-9]. Physical healing is a spiritual blessing that Jesus has already provided the believer. Just receive what God has already provided through Jesus Christ [Matthew 22:22, Mark 11:23, John 14:12].

Covenant Healing Promises

God say in Exodus 15:26 that he is the LORD that heals you. The English word heals is the Hebrew Word ינא rapha', it is transliterated in English as rapha' and usually pronounced as RAW-FAW. Thayer's Lexicon defines rapha' as, "to heal, make healthful". The LORD, יהוה JHWH, the self-existing one doesn't need anyone or anything to heal you or make you healthful.
God promises the Children of Israel in the Old Covenant that he would be their Yahweh Rapha', "if you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and laws, then I will not make you suffer the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you [Exodus 15:22-26, NLT].
Some religious folk say that God only wants to be the God who heals us spiritually. IF God is only talking about spiritual healing why does he mention the words "disease or sickness" in these passages [Psalms 103:1-3, Exodus 23:25, Deuteronomy 7:15, Isaiah 53:4, Matthew 8:17, NASB]?

If God was the "Lord that heals you" in the Old Covenant, how much more is God our healer in the New Covenant; established on better promises through Jesus Christ!-Hebrews 8:6

Exodus 15:25-26

And he cried unto the LORD [יהוה YHWH]; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet [Galatians 3:13]: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, And said, If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee [Exodus 15:26].

Exodus 23:24-25

You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them and completely break down their sacred pillars. "So you shall serve the LORD [יהוה YHWH] your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you [Exodus 23:25].

Psalms 103:1-3

BLESS the LORD [יהוה YHWH], O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul,and forget not all His benefits. Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases [Psalms 103:1-3].

Deuteronomy 7:15,

And the LORD [יהוה YHWH] will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you [Deuteronomy 7:15].

Psalms 30:2

O LORD [יהוה YHWH] my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me [Psalms 30:2].

Jeremiah 17:14

Heal me, O LORD [יהוה YHWH], and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise [Jeremiah 17:14].

Psalms 105:37, Nehemiah 9:21

He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes [Psalms 105:37].

Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness. They lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell [Nehemiah 9:21 and Deuteronomy 29:5].
