Here are today's Red Devils stories from the Daily Mirror...

The blueprint

Louis van Gaal believes he is on the way to replicating his success at Bayern Munich with Manchester United, writes David McDonnell.
The Old Trafford giants have won six games in a row, to take them up to third in the Premier League, with manager Van Gaal is looking to continue that winning run on Saturday at Aston Villa.
The Dutchman's start at United mirrors his debut campaign with Bayern, who went on an 14-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga - from November to March - en route to becoming champions.
United boss Van Gaal admitted he can see his Bayern blueprint starting to take effect at Old Trafford.
"Yes, but that I have said already, in preparation time [pre-season] that I need time," he said. "In the United States, we had direct success. I think we played very well there - surprisingly, very good.
"I coach in a way that players have to think for themselves and think why they are doing things on the pitch. When you work at that rate, you have to be conscious of what you are doing. That takes time."

Villa men staying put - Lambert

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has warned the Premier League’s big guns they face a battle to prise away contract rebels Ron Vlaar and Fabian Delph next month.
Skipper and Holland defender Vlaar is on the radars of Manchester United and Arsenal, while Liverpool, as we revealed yesterday, lead the race for England midfielder Delph, 25.
Neither player has offered the Villans any encouragement they will extend their existing deals, which expire in the summer.
“The way January works, if somebody’s worth something you may as well put another 15 zeros on the end of it.
“The price gets inflated. Even if anybody came in, you would never let them go cheap or anything like that. Would any amount of money tempt me? No. They’ll not go anywhere in January. It’s my say."

Godin nowhere

Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has ruled out a move to the Premier League.
The Uruguayan international has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks, as Louis van Gaal looks to bolster his defence.
"At this point, I feel that I’m in the best time of my career and I still see my retirement very far.
"I would like to stay many years here [at Atletico Madrid].

No return for Vidic

Former skipper Nemanja Vidic will not be returning to Old Trafford.
The Daily Mail claims that the Serbian defender - who left United to join Inter Milan six months ago - won't be coming back as Louis van Gaal simply isn't interested.
Vidic has struggled for form since joining Inter in the summer.

Mammoth double deal

The Daily Star reports that United are plotting a massive £51million double move for Benfica pair Nico Gaitan and Enzo Perez.
The Argentine international duo are both being linked again with moves to Old Trafford, though Perez is also believed to be attracting interest from Spanish side Valencia.

Move for French youth star

According to Tutto Mercato, United are keeping tabs on Metz youngster Blerim Muratovic.
The Luxembourg-born 16-year-old is also reportedly interesting both Juventus and Inter Milan.
