Everyone Shall Give Proper Account - So be careful of all things you are doing

Romans 14:1-12
Paul, since the beginning of chapter 12, has been giving instruction concerning being transformed by the renewing of the mind that we might prove what is that good, and acceptable, perfect will of God in our lives. He does this through the mid part of Chapter 15.
  • We are to receive them that are weak in the faith, but not to doubtful disputations (arguments that lead to judging the action or practices of others that are doubtful as to their significance).
    • Concerning their dietary restriction or not. verses 2-4
    • Concerning day that are observed or not observed. verses 5-6
    • However, we live (we are to live by the word of God that is stated) in our life styles is between us and the Lord. (Again, as long as our life style does not violate rightly divided Scripture.) Verses 7-9
  • For we must give account to God. Verses 10-12. Verse 12 “So then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God.”
    • The Judge
      • There is only one God, one Creator, existing in three persons, the Trinity.
      • Christ Jesus will be the judge of all
        • John 5:22 “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgement unto the Son”
        • Acts 17:31 “Because he hath appointed a day, in which he will judge the world of righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained: whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”
      • Every One
        • Every person will stand before God (Christ Jesus).
        • The saved and unsaved; the Christian and the atheist; Muslims, Buddhist, Hindus, every religion and non-religion. Every tongue, every nationality, every color.
      • Himself/Herself
        • We will give account of only one person.
        • We will not answer for the life of someone else.
        • No one else will answer for our lives.
        • We will stand alone and give account.
      • The Account
        • The Judgment Seat of Christ
        • We will be judged of our Christian lives, not our Sins.
          • Our sins were judged at Calvary’s Cross and have been removed from us as far as the east is from the west. Psalm 103
          • Our sins and iniquities will be remembered no more. Hebrews 10:17
        • We will be judged for when we could have believed God more, could have followed closer, could have been more obedient.
        • The Great White Throne Judgment. Rev 20:11-15
          • Judged by works is to determine degree only.
          • The deciding factor is whether their name is in the Book of Life.
            • The Book of Life is there for evidence.
            • It is that proof that the individual’s name is not there and thus must receive the judgment appointed.
        • Only those who have had their sins washed away by the Blood shed by Jesus Christ at Calvary’s Cross will have their name there.
