Merry Xmas Everybody: Slade tops 'most-streamed' Spotify Christmas tunes of 2014

The music-streaming service and mobile phone network analysed data from the first week of December and found that the second festive song we have listened to most is the slightly maudlin number by Mud, “Lonely this Christmas”.
Other Christmas classics including Bing Crosby’s “Winter Wonderland” and “Fairytale of New York” by the Pogues featured on the most-streamed list, along with Ariana Grande’s upbeat “Santa Tell Me”.
Michael Buble, who earlier this month was named the most popular holiday artist ever on Spotify around the world, made it to number 10 on the list with “Holly Jolly Christmas”.
During the last year Vodafone’s 4G customers streamed more than 31.6 million hours of music on Spotify.
The UK’s most-streamed Christmas songs are:

8. Fairytale of New York (feat. Kirsty MacColl) by The Pogues
9. Santa Tell Me by Ariana Grande
10. Holly Jolly Christmas Michael Bublé
