Watch: Arsene Wenger abused by furious Arsenal fans after Saturday's defeat at Stoke
Angry supporters launched a foul-mouthed tirade at the long-serving Frenchman, demanding he walked away from the club after the latest setback
Furious supporters launched a tirade of abuse after Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Stoke - demanding their long-serving boss finally called it a day.
Wenger was told to "f*** off and leave" by some as others labelled him a "c***" with the shocking footage emerging online on Sunday.
The incident came on the back of another dismal Gunners showing at the Britannia, which saw the hosts race into an early three-goal lead before a fightback of sorts.
Despite guiding the club to the FA Cup last year, Wenger has come in for regular criticism over what is perceived as an on-field stagnation.
Arsenal are already 13 appoints adrift of league leaders Chelsea and just last month, fans unveiled a banner calling for the Frenchman to leave after the win at West Brom.
Analysis: Wenger may be losing his magic touch - but this is a disgrace
After Saturday's defeat, he said: "Stoke started strongly and we were not determined enough in the challenges, and from then on we gave them an early present.
“After that we put a lot of energy into the game, but in the second half we needed too much to come back and we couldn’t do it.
“You have to give Stoke credit for their start, but I think we were a bit naïve at the back. We could not play Koscielny and Monreal, and with Debuchy out as well we were always too soft to cope with what they offered us.
“In every single game you have to be committed and focused from the first minute.”
