It is written in Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”
To find peace for your soul you must:
- Focus your faith on Jesus Christ
- Forgive your foes (your enemies, those that hate and despise you, those that persecute you and those that have sinned against you)
- Find your Spiritual Freedom, which requires that you deal with the things that are robbing you of peace in your life.
As it is written in Matthew 4:17;
As it is written in Matthew 4:17; Jesus said,
“Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand”
And it is also written in Romans 14:17; “that the Kingdom of God
is
righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Amen.
Peace is the hand of God touching your aching soul. When God’s hand
touches us down on the inside, in our deepest being, many times He leads
us to deal with the things in our life.Secondly, make peace with your present. I know it’s not all you want it to be; it’s not that way for any of us. But, at least accept where you are in life. God knows your there and He is able to help you right where you are today.
And thirdly, make peace with yourself. GOD LOVES YOU, He knows you intimately. I know you’re not perfect and there are things about your life you’d like to change. Don’t let that steal your peace. Be content with who you are and find God’s peace in that He is your creator, and He loves you just as you are.
For it is written in Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”
4.Finish your fretting; fretting means when you are constantly anxious or have constant anxiety or worry. For it is written in Psalm 37:8 “Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.” This means refrain from anger, and turn from wrath; do not fret – it only leads to evil. God tells us not to fret. God knows where you are, God is awake, and you can have peace in your heart. Go to sleep tonight and rest. God loves you, He knows the stress you are under. He’s awake and He is in control and He is your peace.
Now in scripture is says in Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You” i.e. (God will keep you in perfect peace; if your mind is stayed on God: because you trust in God)
God wants you to have His perfect peace. Now if you are struggling to find peace in your own spirit, in your own heart or your own mind and you need prayer, You need to pray to God and tell Him “I’m struggling with this in my life, please help I need peace. I need you Lord to do a miracle in my life.”
You know sometimes Jesus stands in the bow of the life boat that you’re in and says “Peace be still”, for the storm around us. And at other times He causes us to rest right in the midst of the storm. Whatever God’s choice is in your life, you can have peace. God will say peace to your storm.
But more importantly, God will give you peace amidst your storm. Whatever that storm might be – you may be having troubles with your spouse/ partner, or with your child, or in your finances. Or you may be under extreme pressure at work. You need to find a place of rest, a place of “Shalom” and experience the completeness, the wholeness, the refreshing of God. And know that way down inside you can be quiet when the world is noisy around you… a cacophony of noises; and all of those noises are distracting to us. And if we allow them they will take away our peace. That doesn’t have to be true, you can put your focus and hope, your trust in Jesus Christ, and He will communicate the peace of Heaven into your life.
God is at rest today. He is not upset. He is not nervous. He is not anxious about anything. He knows the end from the beginning. He is completely at rest. The Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ brings that peace, that rest of heaven, that assurance that everything is going to be alright; and puts it in your heart, by the work of the Holy Spirit, and gives you the peace of Heaven, in a world where the disturber of our peace – satan, is on the loose. Open your life up and experience and know and practice God’s peace. Amen.
Say YES to Jesus today! And let’s trust Him more and more each day!
If you have not come to a place in your life where you have given your life to Christ, then you cannot possibly have the peace that passes all understanding that only God can give and has promised to us if we come to Him. As Jesus said; in Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
I urge you do it now for it is written; “Now is the day of Salvation” Say out loud the following prayer, which is called the Sinners Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of your beloved Son Jesus Christ. I come with all my sins, burdens, and addictions. I confess that I am a sinner, and that I am weak in the face of temptation. Please forgive me for my sins in name of Jesus Christ. Wash me now with the precious Blood of Jesus shed on Calvary. Break the chains of sin and satan in my life and family. Mark me with your precious Blood. I want to be yours; spirit, soul, and body – for my time on earth and in eternity. I put my faith in you alone, Lord Jesus Christ. You are the Son of the Living God. I believe with all my heart what I now confess with my mouth: You are my Saviour, Lord and God. Now I am born again – a child of God. I believe it and receive it in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
And NOW you will begin to feel the peace which passes all understanding, which is the hand of God touching your aching soul.
“Believe on The Lord, Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
